Meet Ms. Subcleff and Mrs. Fornia

About our Job Share:
We are excited to both be able to teach your children.  You will notice that we work hard to create consistency in our week....both of us teach reading, writing, and math.  The beauty of job shares is that we also both get to add our own special ways of teaching those subjects.  Mrs. Fornia will be working Thursdays and Fridays.  Ms. Subcleff will be working Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

One of the reasons we love job sharing, is that we get to work together to discuss how to best meet the needs of each of our students. We both think teaching is a rewarding career and are so happy to get to continue teaching while raising our families.

More about Ms. Subcleff:

I have been teaching in the Lake Washington School District since 1991.
When I was a full-time teacher, I mostly taught 6th grade.   Now that I work part-time, I have been loving the younger grades.

There are many things I love about teaching.  What a great job this is when I get to spend my days developing in children a love of books, a passion for discovery, and the thrill of challenging themselves.   I have my Master's in Creative Arts which means I integrate all the arts (poetry, dance, music, visual arts, drama) into our curriculum.

My husband and I have two boys who go to school in the Northshore School District (where we live). Jackson is in 6th grade and Isaac is a 4th grader.   My daughter Eliza goes to preschool.

Getting a hold of Ms. Subcleff:   Feel free to stop by before or after school, or you may write me a note or email: esubcleff@lwsd.org

More about Mrs. Fornia:   I have been teaching in the Lake Washington School District since 2000. I graduated from WWU with an Elementary Education degree and have my Masters in Art Education. I am the mom of 3 beautiful girls, ages 7, 5, and 1 and married to my high-school sweet-heart and fellow LWSD teacher.
